Abstract

The Capacity Building Programme for Employment Promotion (CBPEP) is an EU-funded initiative aimed at assisting the Government of South Africa to attain its goal of reducing unemployment, by building state and institutional capacity. The CBPEP seeks to build state capability for employment promotion, as well as support strategic dialogue, shared problem-solving and practical collaboration between the social partners. It also aims to strengthen the knowledge and evidence base for effective policy, planning and imple-mentation.
