Abstract
The coastal zone is a highly complex and highly productive environment in which
components are intimately linked and interdependent on each other.
Furthermore, human pressure and poaching remains an enormous problem
within coastal zones and therefore necessitates an integrated and multidisciplinary
development and management effort.
