The Constitution of the Republic of South Africa dictates that: "every person has the right to a working environment that is not harmful to their health nor well-being". The practitioner and/or health care facility as the employer should ensure a safe working environment as far as reasonably possible for all employees, as well as individuals attending the facility. The Centres for Disease Control in the United States of America has a comprehensive document that outlines every aspect of infection prevention in the dental setting.en_US
