| dc.description.abstract | Adverse childhood experiences (ACE) have been shown to affect children in many areas of life, including that of their overall resilience. Due to the distinctive socio-political history and diverse cultures in the South African (SA) context, families experience unique circumstances that affect the family relational structure as well as the socioeconomic and relational aspects of families. This study employed a systematic review (SR) research design to explore the resilience of young children (experiencing ACE’s) within single-parent households in low socio-economic contexts. | en_US |
