dc.description.abstractThe right to social security is of crucial importance in protecting the most vulnerable and marginalised members of society, especially those living in dire poverty. Social assistance is essential in ensuring that persons living in poverty are able to access a minimum level of income that is sufficient to meet basic subsistence needs and prevent them from having to live below minimum acceptable standards.en_US
