| dc.description.abstract | The small genus Echiostachys Levyns (Boraginaceae: Lithospermeae) is revised. It was segregated from Lobostemon Lehm. on the basis of the herbaceous habit, radical foliage, spiciform inflorescence, slightly accrescent calyx, and lack of staminal scales. Three species are recognised. An identification key, descriptions, full nomenclature, illustrations, and distribution maps are provided. | en_US |
