Abstract

Human Immunodeficiency Virus (HIV) infection remains a major global public health issue despite all the efforts being made to control and manage infections worldwide. Data reported in Mberengwa district suggests that less than 40% of PLWHA on ART had a viral load test done which translates to 32% viral suppression of all the patients on ART. This falls far short of reaching the national target of 90% viral suppression in patients on ART. The current study assessed the implementation of viral load monitoring guidelines in Mberengwa district.
