The main aim of the study is to identify specific labour challenges experienced in the implementation of a community-based housing project. The focus of this study is on the management and employees’ experience relating to labour challenges. Gaining insight from management and employees involved with community-based housing will assist future projects of this nature. The interpretivism research paradigm guided this research study and a qualitative explorative descriptive study approach was incorporated. Data was collected with the use of semi structured interviews from a purposive sample of seven participants within a community housing project. Data was analysed using ATLAS. ti version 22.
