Oral candidiasis is an opportunistic infection caused by Candida Species that generally affects Immunocompromised individuals and Denture wearers. The side effects associated with the use of anti-fungal medicaments are increased and the therapeutic effectiveness is decreased. Nonetheless, the increase in resistance to conventional anti-fungal medicaments and the limitation of available antifungals make it difficult to manage the disease.en_US
