dc.description.abstractOver the years there has been a tremendous increase in migration because of its benefit to migrants and to their places of origin, particularly in view of the impact of remittances on development. This study analysed the potential impact of remittances in achieving Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs) with focus on SDG 4 and 10 in Nkanu East Local Government Area of Enugu State, Nigeria. Data were collected through a semi-structured interview among 25 participants with 15 of them being remittance recipients (beneficiaries) and 10 participants who are the remittance senders (facilitators). This research adopted a qualitative research design which made use of data collected from primary sources gathered by the researcher and secondary data from articles, libraries, reports, and book chapters. This study was largely analysed based on literature and theories regarding transnationalism and social capital.en_US
