dc.description.abstractPrevention of new Tuberculosis (TB) infections and their progression to disease is important in the reduction of the burden of ill health and loss of life caused by TB. Tuberculosis preventive therapy (TPT) is an important component of care for people living with HIV (PLHIV). The uptake of tuberculosis preventive therapy among PLHIV globally was low through to 2020 though having been introduced by WHO before 2016. This study was undertaken to explore the factors associated with the uptake of TPT among PLHIV through understanding the perspectives of both the health workers and the PLHIV at the Kapiri Urban clinic in the Kapiri district of the Central province of Zambia.en_US
