dc.description.abstract | Background: The recent meeting between the African National Congress and a group of Afrikaners was an overwhelming experience for many. Constantly subjected to propaganda against the ANC, many delegates were not quite expecting to meet people of the highest calibre. They did not expect such openness and a preparedness to talk. They did not expect to find that the leader of the NAC delegation, Mr Thabo Mbeki would outstrip any politician that they had ever met in this country. | |
