The present study investigated the prevalence levels of burnout among dentists working in direct clinical contact with patients in Saudi Arabia and identified its relationship with the basic work-setting conditions in Saudi Arabia. The study design was cross-sectional and conducted in the central, western and eastern regions of Saudi Arabia in both public and private sectors. A self-administered questionnaire, containing the19-item Copenhagen Burnout Inventory (CBI) included the Personal Burnout (PB), Work-Related Burnout (WRB), and Client-Related Burnout (CRB) scales and socio-demographic data, was used to determine the prevalence of burnout among dentists. To achieve this, factors such as age, gender, marital status, nationality, years of experience, professional rank, specialty and sector of work, working days per week, working hours per day and number of patients were compared regarding participant burnout levels | en_US |
