| dc.description.abstract | 1. The shear zones trend northwest to north-northwest, and both left-lateral and right-lateral shear zones occur.2.The sinistral Bethesda and Jannelsepan shear zones are found in the western part of the region, and the dextral Trooilap, Straussburg, Dagbreek, Leerkrans and Karos zones . are situated to the east of the former two. 3. All the shear zones are characterised by intense foliation, re-oriented foliation, silicification and piedmontite enrichment, as well as a decrease in the grain size of particles. | |
