Youth need to build their resilience, feel empowered, take the initiative and become independent
for their leadership development. The application and use of leisure education amongst youth
with disabilities for developing leadership appears feasible, although it has never previously
been researched. It is noted that leisure plays a significant role in the lives of all persons, and
people with disabilities should also embrace opportunities to obtain the positive benefits of
leisure.
