dc.description.abstract | Background: The semester examinations set to start on May 23 will continue as scheduled. This was confirmed by the University’s administration and the SRC after students at the faculty meetings overwhelmingly rejected calls for rescheduling of the examinations. Further proposals were that the mid-year vacation be shortened by a week or that the exams be postponed next term. The faculty meetings were held after complaints were received by the SRC about congested examination schedules and incomplete academic programmes because of the boycotts during last term. | |
