Last mile delivery is one of the most expensive and challenging processes within the supply chain for organisations. The last mile delivery component of logistics has also become a very competitive space within the supply chain industry due to the significant rise in e-commerce adoption. Given the advancements in networking and digital solution development, many organisations now have, at their disposal various hardware and software options to improve business processes and associated supply chain efficiencies. However, there is a relatively low level of adoption of smart delivery management systems to date. This study aimed to understand what the readiness factors are that underpin the successful adoption and integration of such systems into the last mile delivery processes.en_US
