The aim of the study was to determine the prevalence of CAD risk factors in firefighters in the City of Cape Town and the relationship between the various CAD risk factors. This study used a quantitative cross-sectional, descriptive and correlational design. A total of 124 full-time firefighters of the City of Cape Town (CoCT) Fire and Rescue Service were conveniently recruited to participate in the study, including males and females of all ethnicities.
