Job Insecurity has been attributed to reduced job performance and job satisfaction as well as an increase in health-related issues such as well-being. The objective of the study was an investigation into the role of sense of coherence in the relationship between job insecurity and well-being of independent financial advisers working under supervision in South Africa. The design of the survey was cross-sectional. A random sample (n = 213) was selected from independent, supervised individuals working in the financial services industry. The 12- item General Health Questionnaire (GHQ-12), the 20-item Orientation to Life Questionnaire (OLQ- 29), and the eight-item South African validated Job Insecurity Scale (JIS-8) were administered as self-report questionnaires to measure well-being, sense of coherence, and job insecurity.enJob insecurityEmploymentFinancial industryFinancial advisorSouth AfricaThe role of sense of coherence in the relationship between job insecurity and well-being of independent financial advisors working under supervision in South AfricaThesis
