We have noted the concentration of corporate and financial power throughout agro-food value chains, and especially in food wholesaling and retailing. We are concerned about the impacts of this power on the food options and choices of the population, especially those in low income categories, as well as the impacts on the opportunities for creating livelihoods within the food system.
