It examines South Africa’s Implementation of the Rome Statute of the International Criminal Court Act (ICC Act) which came into effect on 16 August 2002 and highlights the challenges related to the implementation of this Act; within the context of immunity of heads of state. It also draws a comparison between the ICC Act and the International Crimes Act of Kenya and the International Criminal Court Act of Uganda.
