Rectal cancer is most often defined as cancers originating within 15 cm from the anal verge. The crude incidence of CRC in sub-Sahara African populations has been found to be 4.04/100,000 (4.38 for men and 3.69 for women). CRC stage correlates well with survival/cure rates with the majority of patients diagnosed with CRC presenting with advanced disease and a low survival/cure rate.enColorectal cancerCancer biomarkersCancerEarly detectionMicroRNAs as predictive biomarkers for diagnosis and prognosis of colorectal cancer using in silico approachesUniversity of the Western Cape
